A Life That Changed the Music

Baroness Pannonica de Koenigswarter—known simply as Nica—was one of the most vital figures in the history of modern jazz. Patron, confidante, and lifelong advocate, she opened her home and her life to the artists who shaped the sound of the 20th century.

This project brings together music, imagery, and narrative to honor her legacy—exploring the intersection of artistry, generosity, and cultural transformation through sound and story.

Live at Nica on 4th

Where story, sound, and spirit converge.

I perform regularly at Nica on 4th — a swanky, postwar-inspired craft cocktail bar in downtown Austin honoring “The Jazz Baroness” Pannonica de Koenigswarter.

Wednesday evenings from 6:30–9:30 PM, I present an intimate program of music and storytelling drawn from the world Nica helped shape. The performances feature compositions written for her, music she championed, and original works inspired by her life and legacy.

Set within the warm, elegant atmosphere of Nica on 4th, the evening blends live jazz, narrative, and history — bringing the spirit of Nica into the present moment..
