Seeing Sound / Hearing Color — Brazosport Exhibition, 2026

Seeing Sound / Hearing Color — presents a series of abstract works by Hank Hehmsoth that translate the language of jazz improvisation into visual form. Developed alongside live performance and interdisciplinary collaboration, the works explore rhythm, gesture, harmonic motion, and spontaneous structure through color, texture, and spatial composition.

Presented as a solo exhibition at Brazosport College in 2026, the collection reflects an ongoing inquiry into the relationship between sound and image, where visual elements function as extensions of musical thought and improvisational practice.
