Projects

In 2015, Hank Hehmsoth, a distinguished jazz and composition faculty member at Texas State University, was honored with the Dean’s Seminar Award. On February 3, 2015, he presented the Dean’s Seminar titled "Creativity – Where Does It Come From?" at the Performing Arts Center. During this seminar, Hehmsoth, an NEA Fellow in Jazz and MacDowell Norton Stevens Fellow in Composition, delivered an engaging session that included live jazz performances and an exploration of the role of research in his creative process. This presentation provided valuable insights into the intersection of research and creativity in music composition, reflecting Hehmsoth's extensive experience and contributions to the field.
