  • Duo — piano and saxophone/flute

  • Trio — piano, saxophone/flute, bass

A flexible lecture-performance exploring Texas jazz composers, improvisation, regional music history, and the cultural roots of modern jazz.

This program can include live performance, historical commentary, readings, discussion, and audience Q&A. It can be adapted for libraries, universities, museums, historical organizations, lifelong learning programs, and cultural centers.

Seeing Sound / Hearing Color

An interdisciplinary art and music program that invites participants to connect visual art, jazz listening, reflection, and creative writing.

Participants are guided through:

  • slow looking

  • focused listening

  • descriptive response

  • creative writing

  • discussion of how sound, color, rhythm, and image connect

This program is especially well suited for galleries, museums, colleges, libraries, arts organizations, and educational settings.
